Learning to swim at the YMCA is about more than just stroke development. It's about building confidence, self-esteem, and developing strong values in all of our participants.

The YMCA believes in Discovery Learning; a child-centered approach, where kids learn
through play, hands-on exercises and creative repetition. Children are taught in small groups
with others of their own age and skill level.

Not only do kids develop life-long skills that can help them stay healthy, but they also gain a
sense of accomplishment that leaves them feeling good about what they've learned.

We offer and encourage private lessons to those individuals who have no water experience or are fearful of the water. Our certified YMCA Aquatic staff will work with you on an individual basis to achieve the goal of water confidence. To schedule a private lesson contact Amy Smith at ext 208.
