Times are tough, but it's okay to spend money when you need to buy pants a size or two smaller! The Tecumseh YMCA, is here to help! We have programs for everything from helping you touch your toes to helping you run a marathon. Unless otherwise noted fitness classes are free for Tecumseh YMCA Members and $5 per class for Non-Members.

Circuit Training
Participants alternate between cardio and toning stations incorporating every muscle group. You set your own pace at each station. Class is offered Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays at 9:00 am and Tuesdays and Thursdays at 3:30 pm.

Pilates
Pilates is a total body conditioning exercise method combining flexiblity and core strength. This class helps to develop mind-body uniformity. Class is offered Mondays and Wednesdays at 6:45 pm.

Contact Kickboxing
By adding the heavy bag to this kickboxing class you will help reduce stress and see changes in your body that will keep you coming again and again. Class is offered Tuesdays and Thursdays at 6:00 pm. This class is now FREE for YMCA Members and $5 for Non-Members.

Walk Fit
This new fitness class has you walking in place to music paced to increase your energy and weight loss. The only equipment you need is you. Class is offered Tuesdays and Thursdays at 6:30 pm.

Stretch and Flex
This class is designed for Active Older Adults that would like to work on strength and flexibility. It is a very low impact class that uses weights, resistance tubes, exercise balls and a chair to help with balance issues, bone density and overall agility. This class is offered Tuesdays and Thursday 8:45 am.

  

Zumba
This new fitness craze combine Latin dance inspired moves into a workout routine. Come dance; have fun and work your way to a new level of fitness. Class is offered Mondays and Wednesdays at 6:00 pm, Tuesdays at 7:00 pm and Saturdays 7:30 am.

Cardio Abs Blast
This class will help to elevate your heart rate using easy to follow cardio moves and then transition to an ab workout. This class is offered on Thursdays at 6:00 pm.

I Can't Believe it's Not Yoga
Flexibility and strength are the main focus of this class. Many yoga style poses will be incorporated into a class that you just don't want to miss. This class is offered on Thursdays at 7:15 pm.

Core Essentials
This is a 1/2 hour class focusing on your core. There will be varous ab exercises and some low back exercises will be incorporated as well. This class is offered Tuesdays and Thursday 5:30 pm.

Spinning
Spinning is a 40-45 minute incredible cardiovascular workout combining cycling techniques and performance visualization to provide one of the most unique workouts available. Due to limited equipment there is a fee for Spinning. The fee for this class is $2 for YMCA Members and $5 for Non-Members.

AM Splash
This class is designed to get your day started with a low impact cardio and muscle toning water workout. This class is offered Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays 6:00 am.

Moving More Aqua Class
Shallow water, low impact aerobic exercise done at your pace. Water weights may be added for a more challenging workout. This class is offered Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays 9:15 am.

Aquatic Arthritis Class
This class will work toward increased flexibility and balance while lowering pain levels and stiffness due to inactivity. This class is offered Mondays through Fridays 10:00 am and Mondays and Wednesdays at 6:00 pm. There is a fee of $1 for YMCA Members and $5 for Non-Members for this class.

Aqua Fitness
This class will use water-resistant equipment and plenty of water-specific moves. You will experience cardiovascular training, muscular conditioning and increased flexibility. This class is offered Mondays and Wednesdays 6:30 pm.
